For the Guardians

Description

So if you somehow didn't notice, Legend of the Guardians(Also known, on avians.net, as "Owl Movie"(AKA "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!") was released last year. While box office returns were modest overall, it did get me in to see it twice in the theater. I don't often go to movies to begin with, but I think this is the first time I've been to a movie twice since I saw Aladdin in theaters, and that was more to go with two different sets of cousins; I didn't have any say.

In any case, I loved the animation and development and the birds in the movie and overall found it enjoyable. But there weren't any hawks in it, and I like hawks just a bit better than owls...so I had Likeshine draw Arrow as a guardian. Now they can have the tree defended both during the night AND during the day!

Drawn by :iconlikeshine: at MFF 2010.

Awesome! I loved the details in the movie, with the animation and staying so accurate with the bird's anatomy yet showing emotion so well with their expressions. And they improved the idea of how the battleclaws and armor looks. ^v^ But they didn't do the storyline right. :( They made it a very childish "happy ending". The movie is supposed to be based on the first three books, which were a bit dark at times. Soren never got to see his parents alive after he fell out of the tree in the books, because Kludd murders them. Also Kludd was already a Pure One, and didn't fall out of the tree, he just pushed Soren out and waited for his parents to return, and kills them. In fact, in the books, Metalbeak and Kludd are the SAME CHARACTER, in the movie they split him into two.

Sorry I started rambling on about all that. I get carried away while typing.
